Synopsis

Penyakit tuberkulosis tidak hanya menjadi masalah medis, tetapi juga sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya. Upaya penanganan TB sering kali berfokus pada aspek biomedis semata, seperti diagnosis dini, pemberian obat anti tuberkulosis (OAT), dan pengawasan pengobatan. Namun, keberhasilan terapi tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kepatuhan minum obat, melainkan juga oleh faktor psikologis, sosial, nutrisi, status imunologis, dan lingkungan pasien. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu pendekatan holistik yang memandang pasien secara utuh sebagai individu yang memiliki dimensi biologis, psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual.

Buku ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang penanganan tuberkulosis berdasarkan prinsip integratif dan berbasis bukti ilmiah. Pembahasan mencakup aspek patogenesis dan mekanisme imunologis TB, diagnostik terkini, pendekatan farmakoterapi dan nonfarmakologis, peran nutrisi dan fitoterapi pendukung, serta intervensi psikososial dan spiritual dalam mempercepat proses penyembuhan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien.
